The flag reproduces a schematic image of instruments used for craniometry – the technique of measurement of the cranium. The original illustrations were found in a medical book published in the first half of the 20th century. The book was published on a far-right website sharing russian-Ukrainian content. There were several such online neo-Nazi platforms common for post-soviet countries. Transferring these illustrations to the flag back in 2012 was a sign of growing neo-Nazi movements in Eastern Europe and all over the world.
