An eye can be a deceptive tool in an accurate description of the reality. It is relatively easy to introduce it into a state of illusion. One of the simplest visual tricks is mis-en-abyme, implemented by, among others, the game of mirrors.
Touch is a complementary sense. Touching things allows us to have a flawless sense of texture, shape and most of the physical properties of the objects. In the absence of sight touch can stimulate our imagination in the creation of a mental image of those objects.
