The Retro League is a form of reconstructing what passed, an attempt to revive pre-war football matches with their teams, rules, clothes and atmosphere. The clubs which ceased to exist in 1939 are eligible to take part in the tournament. Players are required to wear T-shirts, shorts and training shoes patterned after prewar models.
The photo shows members of the Śmigły Wilno Military Sports Club (created by aficionados from Warsaw). In the background you can see the stand of Skra Warsaw and the edifice of the Ministry of Environment, close to the place where Warszawianka played its matches before the war.
