Dog Drinking the Shadow of a Puddle

An installation depicting a dog drinking the shadow of a puddle. Why does my dog persistently drink water from puddles? Is he lacking essential minerals? Does this water smell better to him? After examining the content of tap water, I keep a closer eye on my dog and no longer allow him to indulge in puddle-related desires. Rainwater is not suitable for drinking. It contains numerous microbiological and chemical contaminants, originating from both the air and the ground.
