Knurled work is made with a lathe. The aim of making it on an object’s surface is to eliminate the risk of a hand slipping while turning it. The pattern made of the knurl is perceptible to people thanks to the receptors located on their skin. This physical aid made especially for our hands is felt strongest, when we try to turn a similar object lacking this haptic drawing.
