This textile work, viewed through a glass coated with translucent paint, is a reflection on my relationship with the trees growing beside my home.
Close to one another, we changed — gently attuned to our shared presence, without sorrow, without longing, in the quiet joy of simply being together. Each day, we were important to one another, aware of both our differences and our similarities. I felt calm. And safe.
